Sara, who is the Managing Director of London-based Adaptis Ltd., can now offer British businesses relationship-based approaches, initially developed in the
She explained: The workplace can be tension filled as values, loyalties and experiences clash over shared goals, expectations for change, and the overall pace of business. This can be very demanding for the individuals involved and costly for the company overall.
Through the new training course we are offering, managers are introduced to Relationship Awareness Theory and this deals with resolving difficult issues via conflict management. Putting these two practice areas together provides a powerful learning experience resulting in leadership, innovation and the creation of new solutions.
The course that Sara and the Adaptis team are pioneering uses interactive learning experiences and role-plays to give participants the opportunity to practice various approaches to resolving workplace issues using real life examples.
The program reviews best practices and improves skills in both relationship building and conflict management.
Sara continued: Managing Conflict - The Relationship Approach course offered by Adaptis is designed for any team leader, supervisor, manager or upper level executive who is experiencing, or has ever experienced, conflict and pressure at work.
On completion of the Adaptis-led program, it is anticipated that participants will:
- Become better at managing themselves and others when there is conflict
- Clarify their role as a manager in creating and/or resolving issues
- Review organisational responses to conflict and the Conflict Continuum
- Understand Relationship Awareness® and its value in conflict management
- Listen to Learn® - sorting out what is being said
- Learn to think and act like a mediator
- Practice leading effective problem solving conversations
- Build their own action plans to use the principles from this program.
The learning and development provider is offering companies the chance to fill in a questionnaire so that they can find out how much conflict in the workplace may be costing them.
Anyone interested in finding out more about the new course, receiving a free questionnaire or would like to obtain details of the services Adaptis offers should call 0845 2002246 and ask for Sara Burks or visit www.adaptis.co.uk.
