Developing Emotional Intelligence

What makes a successful person? How do we measure success? Is it about earnings? Position? Power? Happiness? Whichever way we measure it, in today’s ever changing society a person’s ability to build effective relationships with others is vital.

Having worked with many managers and business leaders over the past decade, we have observed that those who are most successful have that ability – they are Emotionally Intelligent. The key aspects of this intelligence are:

    • An Understanding of the importance of good relationships
    • A high degree of self awareness
    • Belief in themselves
    • Self motivation
    • Self accountability

A fundamental aspect of developing greater emotional intelligence is increased awareness of our own behaviours and how these may be perceived by others. We work with individuals and teams to facilitate this heightened awareness and from this build skills to adapt behaviours, where appropriate, to increase success in interacting with others.
