Our Founder

Sara Burks is a firm believer that a business’ performance rests almost entirely on the energy and commitment of its people. She founded Adaptis in 2003 following twenty years in commercial leadership positions at Board level. Recognising that each business has its own unique set of challenges and that one size definitely does not fit all, she struggled to find Learning & Development solutions that worked. This founding insight drives Adaptis' emphasis on fully listening to the needs of a client then adapting best practice research and methodologies to deliver the right solution.

Since then, she’s applied this philosophy to development programmes all over the world in a vast range of capacities. Educated in Business with Organisational Psychology, she develops others in leadership, emotional intelligence, strategy and change management.
